Pakistan should reframe Kashmir policy: AJK PM

KARACHI (APP) – Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Mohammed Farooq Hyder Khan has said that Kashmir cause was damaged during the reign of former President Pervez Musharraf.
Pakistan should reframe its national policy envisaging ideological and natural outlook about Kashmir, he said while talking to journalists after a visit to the Mazar of Quaid-i-Azam where he laid a wreath and offered fateha. PML-N leader Saleem Zia and leaders of Muslim Conference were also present on the occasion.
The AJK Prime Minister said that since 1947, over 600,000 Kashmiris have sacrificed their lives for their rights and Kashmir cause. He recalled Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had, at a meeting in Srinagar in 1944, established the relationship of Kashmiri people with Pakistan and now even after 63 years of Pakistan having coming into being, the Kashmiris are struggling for their right of self-determination.
Raja Farooq thanked PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif who categorically stated that Kashmir is the lifeline of Pakistan.
To a question, he said Kashmir cause was most harmed by Pervez Musharraf during his nine-year rule during which Kashmir policy was ignored and no effort was made to get UN resolutions implemented.
AJK Prime Minister said that during his visit to Karachi he will hold meeting with Sindh Government on the problems of Kashmiris living here including admission of Kashmiri students in educational institutions and jobs for them.
He said that he would also meet the businessmen of Karachi next month and convince them for making investment in Kashmir. He pointed out that vast investment opportunities exist for investment in hydel power generation and tourism and investors would be facilitated by every way. He said best opportunities exist for investment in Bhambhar and Mirpur.
Raja Farooq said that Kashmir is a safe area from law and order point of view and investment. He said there is no existence of Taliban in the area.
