JI against talks with India minus Kashmir issue

LAHORE: Jamaat e Islami (JI) central Shoora has stressed upon the new government to not resume dialogue with India until New Delhi agrees to grant the right of self determination to Kashmiris in accordance with the UN resolutions.

In a resolution adopted by Shoora, the JI said talks with India without resolving Kashmir issue and river waters issue was tantamount to treachery with Kashmiris and stabbing them in the back.

It said India’s state terrorism in Kashmir and its insistence on retaining eight hundred thousand troops in Kashmir, besides its black laws, in total disregard of the protests from human rights organizations, was blatant violation of the UN resolutions and Human Rights charter.

The Shoora called upon the UN, the OIC and other international organizations to take immediate notice of these matters and increase pressure on New Delhi to stop genocide of Kashmiris and allow them an opportunity to decide their future.

Through another resolution, JI Shoora expressed deep concern over massacre of Muslims in Arakan (Myanmar) where life had been made extremely difficult for Muslim minority for last several months. It pointed out that thousands of innocent Muslims had been martyred and their properties had been put on fire. Mosques had been razed and Muslims were being forced to migrate to other lands. Thousands of them had been drowned in the adjoining seas while attempting to flee for safety.http://www.thenews.com.pk/Todays-News-2-181721-JI-against-talks-with-India-minus-Kashmir-issue
