APF starts border patrol in Taplejung

The officers of the Armed Police Force from the Border Outpost at Olangchungola, a Himalayan region at Ward 7 of Phaktangung Gaunpalika in Taplejung district, have started patrolling along Tipatala Bhanjyang, an area along the Nepal-China border.With the latest patrolling along the border on Wednesday, the officers have been patrolling the area by making a schedule.“There is movements of people alonge the border area following which patrolling is a must to strengthen our security,” said Deputy Superintendent of the Armed Police Force Rabindra Shrestha. The border outpost is established at Mauwatar, around 13 km away from Olangchungola’s main settlement, and was inaugurated by Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai.The major outpost still lacks required infrastructure but is performing its responsibility properly.Tiptala Bhanjyang, which is at an altitude of 5,200 metres, is in the border area and is 25km away from Olangchungola.
