Delivering his sermon presiding as the Chief Celebrant of the 117th year Concelebrated High Mass offered at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Kurunegala, Bishop Perera said that Cardinal Ranjith is in the forefront to expose those involved in the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks and mete out justice to the victims.

“The Cardinal has raised his voice fearlessly taking the side of the people who suffered. Those powerful hands that were behind the heinous crime of Easter Sunday carnage have launched callous attacks against the Cardinal. We know that their aim is to force use to stop our struggle to get justice done. We are not afraid of them. Slinging mud at His Eminence won’t silence our cry for justice,” Bishop Perera said.

“We are puzzled to know that those who govern the country at present are giving promotions and appointing to high posts those who are responsible for not preventing the Easter Sunday terror attacks,” he said…..
