Yadgar Shadmanov, Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, said that a high-level delegation will come to Kabul in the coming days to hold discussions with officials of the Islamic Emirate.
In an interview with RTA, Shadmanov said that if the current Afghan government accept the demands of the international community, it will be recognized by Uzbekistan and other countries.
“We will host a large Uzbek delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Djamshid Anvarovich in Afghanistan in the near future, and following the delegation’s arrival in Kabul, a large meeting will be held between the leaders of the two countries,” the ambassador said.
Shadmanov, regarding the recognition of the Islamic Emirate, said: “If the current Afghan government seriously considers the establishment of an inclusive government and the provision of women’s rights and finds a solution for it, it will be recognized not only by Uzbekistan but also by the international community and the world.”
The ambassador of Uzbekistan in Kabul added that the embassies of Uzbekistan, Qatar, Turkey, China, Pakistan, India, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation are active in Kabul and the relations of the current Afghan government with them are improving.
The Islamic Emirate has not yet commented about the visit of the Uzbek delegation to Afghanistan.
Political analysts emphasized yhe need to accept the demands of the international community.
“In my opinion, if the education issue is resolved, we will get rid of the demands of the world, and then the issue of recognizing the Islamic Emirate will be clear,” said Sayed Akbar Agha, a political analyst.
“If the world’s demand, which the Afghans also emphasize, is accepted, then it will open the way for the recognition of the Islamic Emirate,” said Fazl Hadi Wazin, a university lecturer.
Among the requirements that the international community has set for interaction with the Islamic Emirate are the formation of an inclusive government, upholding human rights, especially of women, and preventing the use of Afghan land against other nations.
However, the Islamic Emirate has frequently asserted that it has met the requirements for recognition, that women’s rights are respected in accordance with Islamic law, and that Afghan land would not be used against other countries.
