With the passage of two years since the announcement of the interim government, the Islamic Emirate has yet to introduce its official cabinet.

The Islamic Emirate’s spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, said that after the approval of the constitution, some of the issues such as establishment of a council and official cabinet will be addressed.

“Our laws are being work on and also the councils are still under discussion. Whenever these issues are final, which means that all government parts are built, this issue will also be solved,” he said.

Mujahid said that the current cabinet holds full authority and there is no obstacle ahead of the government affairs.

“The government affairs are being continued as needed and all of the administrations are doing their necessary activities,” he said.

The political analysts meanwhile said that the official cabinet is important for good governance and the management of government affairs.

“If there is tension among the countries in contracts and other issues, disputes and issues will not be considered as meaningful and official because the government is not official,” said Sayed Qaribullah Sadaat, a political analyst.

Weeks after returning to power, the Islamic Emirate announced its members of the interim cabinet but there were no women among them—an issue which sparked widespread reactions.

At least 19 ministries are headed by the acting ministers.
