RAB has detained two men in a raid after finding weapon-making materials at a home in Mymensingh.
The raid occurred early on Wednesday at a building owned by Moinuddin Ahmed in the Milonbag area of the district town, said RAB-14 Commanding Officer Lt Col Shariful Islam.
The detainees are Sohel Miah, 22, and Habib. Additional details on the detainees were not available.
The two had rented a room in the house and were making and selling weapons, RAB official Shariful said. RAB received a tip regarding the operation before embarking on the raid.
“Four pistols, seven bullets, four magazines and a massive amount of weapon-making materials were found on a bed.”
But Nuruddin, the son of the home owner and the alleged ringleader, has fled, Alam said.
