Two Daesh militants killed by own bomb in Nangarhar KHAAMA PRESS – Sun Mar 13 2016, 8:31 am

Two loyalists of the terrorist group of Islamic State (IS) which also goes by its Arabic name Daesh have been killed in the explosion of their own bomb in eastern Nangarhar province.

The incident has taken place in Achin district in which three other insurgents also sustained injuries.

“Two armed men belonging to Daesh were killed and three others wounded when their own bomb exploded on them in Mazdaki Kandaw area of Achin district,” states a late Saturday statement released by Colonel Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal, spokesperson for Nangarhar police.

This comes a day after 24 fighters of the group were killed by security forces in a counter attack in the same district which is considered as the hotspot of the group in the eastern part of the country.

Militants planned to launch a large-scale offensive on a number of security posts in Deh Sarak and Pansar areas but security forces prevented the assault and killed them.

Nangarhar is the stronghold of Daesh where the group plans to establish a base of operations in its rugged mountains.

Coalition officials estimate between 1,000 to 3,000 Islamic State fighters are stationed in eastern Afghanistan.http://www.khaama.com/two-daesh-militants-killed-by-own-bomb-in-nangarhar-4731
