Local officials have reported to media, that at least 17 people were killed and more than 50 wounded in twin explosions in the city of Bamyan province on Tuesday.
The blast has reportedly happened in Insaaf Market in Bamyan city, the central part of the province.
According to Tariq Arian, a spokesman for the interior ministry, 13 people are among the dead and 45 people are injured.
No group or individual has claimed the responsibility for the deadly attack.
Bamyan is considered one of the secure locations in the country, a central hub for foreign tourists, the city is visited by thousands of international visitors annually.
Despite efforts for peace, violence in the country remains high.
