Abdul Rahman, commander of the Taliban’s Red Brigade for Nad Ali district in Helmand, was killed in an airstrike, the Ministry of Defense said.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the airstrike was carried out on Saturday, where seven other Taliban fighters were confirmed dead.
A statement from the Ministry of Defense said that the commander of the Taliban Red Brigade was targeted by airstrikes while planning terrorist attacks.
According to a press release, Abdul Rahman was the commander of a 50-strong Taliban Red Unit in the Nad Ali district of Helmand.
Earlier, The Defense Ministry also announced the deputy head of the Taliban military commission has been killed in the Nawa district of Helmand province.
