Afghanistan’s acting minister of interior affairs Sarajudin Haqqani met with the families of the suicide bombers who conducted attacks in the past two decades in Afghanistan targeting foreign and Afghan troops.
The parents were asked to gather in Kabul’s luxury hotel- Intercontinental- that was targeted by Taliban’s suicide bombers several times.
Spokesperson of the interior ministry Saeed Khostai in a twitter post said that the parents were given 10,000 AFS ($110), clothes, and were pledged to be distributed a plot of land each.
Saeed Khostai added that the suicide bombers were praised as real heroes.
Sarajudin Haqqani, whose photos were face-covered is head of the Haqqani network that conducted nearly all suicide attacks in the past 15 years in Afghanistan.
He is on the US’s black list and has $5 million bounties on him.
Kabul has been a city where the Taliban conducted the most number of suicide attacks in past twenty years that inflicted casualties to thousands of civilians alongside the foreign and Afghan men in service.
