At least four Taliban insurgents were killed and further five wounded in a battle with Afghan National Army in Nadali district of Helmand province, said the Ministry of Defense in a statement Sunday.
Security forces also arrested six members of the Taliban terrorist group, according to the statement.
“4 Taliban were killed, 5 were wounded and 6 others were arrested by ANA in Nadali district of Helmand Prov. during reciprocal operations last night,” said MoD in a tweet.
Meanwhile, the authorities seized a number of arms and ammunition, including some military equipment, during the operation.
“Additionally, a large amount of their weapons and ammunitions were seized,” the tweet added. “These TB had gathered to plan attacks on ANDSF positions.”
Meanwhile, the MoD said at least “5 Taliban were killed and 4 others were wounded in Marja district of Helmand” Province, where “a large amount of their weapons and ammunitions were seized and several of their vehicles were destroyed as a result of the operations.”
