At least 36 civilians, including children, were rescued from a Taliban prison during a special operation by the Crisis Response Unit (CRU) in southern Helmand on Tuesday night, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Those released included children and men. They were rescued following a special operation in Greshak district of southern Helmand province,” according to the statement.
