A total of three ministers of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party in the Bagmati government resigned on Saturday.
They submitted their resignation to Chief Minister Shalikram Jammakattel after the party decided to withdraw support to the government in the wake of new political development.
The party’s provincial assembly leader Uddhav Thapa was the minister for water supply, energy and irrigation; Dambar Bahadur Tamang the minister for tourism, industry and cooperatives and Raju Bista the minister for forest and environment.
Earlier today, the party announced to exit from the government, citing changes in the political equation.
A joint meeting of the party’s central executive committee and lawmakers on Saturday took the decision of quitting the government and recalling all the RPP ministers from the Cabinet.
Following the decision, RPP also decided to withdraw its support to the government and the provincial governments.
