KARACHI: The National Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony on Sunday took out rallies in favour of the Pakistan Army and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif in Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur.
The rally in Karachi ended outside the Karachi Press Club. A large number of participants, carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans in favour of the Pakistan Army and General Raheel Sharif, chanted slogans of “Long Live Pakistan” and “Long Live Pak Army”.
They also displayed portraits of General Raheel Sharif. Addressing the rally, Syed Amin Shah Rashdi, Naveed Saleem and others said that the Pakistan Army has broken the backbone of terrorists and peace has been restored in the country with the efforts of the Army and Rangers.
They demanded the government to give an extension to General Raheel for eliminating the terrorists.
