PMLN never protected Pakistan’s interests over India: PPP Report in the Nation, May 18, 2016

KARACHI: : Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has expressed serious concern over Indian move for diverting the direction of more than 30 rivers.

PPP MNAs Nawab Yousuf Talpur, Mir Ejaz Hussain Jakhrani and Imran Zafar Leghari expressing serious concern overIndia’s move for diverting the direction of more than 30 rivers said the federal government of PMLN has totally failed to protect and defend the interest of Pakistan.

The change in direction of rivers would leave Pakistan’s fertile agri land as barren and then would be converted into desert and then the economic devastation would prevail on the country. India has already much violated over water issue withPakistan and the later has already moved International court of justice.

In a statement issued from PPP Media Cell Sindh, the PPP MNAs said that the PMLN’s federal government left no opportunity to side with the Modi’s government only for personal businesses and gains.

The PMLN’s federal government has failed to raise the Indian atrocities and violations at any international level especially on Indian backing for the terrorist groups and depriving Pakistan of its due right over water from the rivers and hence the Indian government has been playing havoc on Pakistan’s fate.

They said that on one hand the PMLN’s federal government is internally creating job crisis in Pakistan by selling national institutions for petty sums of money and on the other hand the Indian government in promoting insurgency and terrorism in Pakistan and now moving forward for depriving Pakistan of its right on water. India had already violated the water treaty withPakistan by constructing controversial Biglihar and Kishan Ganga dams on rivers.

They said the friendly ties of Sharifs with Modi would finally result in barrenness of our fertile agri land.

They demanded the federal government to raise the issue at the UN so that the forthcoming devastation on the canvas of industry and agriculture could be checked.
