PM didn’t keep CPEC pledges: Zahid Khan

TIMERGARA: Awami National Party (ANP) leader Zahid Khan on Friday said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had not kept the pledges about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) he had made at the All Parties Conference (APC).

Speaking at a gathering at Hajiabad in Lower Dir, the ANP leader alleged that the prime minister had totally ignored Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the mammoth project while Punjab had been included as the main beneficiary of the CPEC.

Workers of JI and PTI, including Haji Dilawar Said, Haider, Bahrawar, Gul Khan, Akbar Ali, Waheed and Talha along with hundreds of their family members and relatives announced joining the ANP on the occasion.

“It was due to the government’s failed foreign policy that Bangladesh, Afghanistan and other countries denied participating in the SAARC conference,” Zahid Khan said.https://www.thenews.com.pk/print/155742-PM-didnt-keep-CPEC-pledges-Zahid-Khan

On one hand the PTI chief Imran Khan and JI chief Sirajul Haq was beating the drum for accountability while on the other hand their own people had been found involved in corruption as provincial minister Shehram Khan Tarakai and Senator Liaquat Tarakai owned 35 offshore companies besides JI ministers in the provincial government were involved in corruption scandals, he alleged. He added that they were raising the slogan of accountability and corruption just to hoodwink the masses.
