SIALKOT – Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan will instantly and befittingly respond to every Indian war aggression, and added that the enemy in this way wants to divert the world’s attention from the burning issue of Kashmir and its atrocities.
“Pakistan is fully capable of responding to any aggression and the enemy (India) must not misconstrue Pakistan’s desire for peace as weakness,” he added while talking to newsmen here. He said that Pakistan would respond India with full force, if it continues to target the civilian population in Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary. He said that Pakistan would counter the situation on all levels.
He said that the marvelous success of China Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) was not being digested by India. He held India responsible for aggregating border tensions. He said that the several international powers including India don’t want to see CEPC project as successful, which would open the new vistas of socio-economic development in Pakistan. He said that the India and other international powers are creating hurdles in the way of the CPEC project.
He said that despite all the hurdles, the CPEC project was moving ahead towards the goal of great success and the fruits of the CPEC project would start reaching the Pakistani nation very soon. He said that the mega project was the gateway of prosperity of Pakistan. The nation would bring the economic revolution, peace, massive employment opportunities national prosperity in Pakistan.
The minister added that defence of Pakistan was in very strong hands. He said that the armed forces of Pakistan have full capability to defend every inch of their motherland at every cost. He said India’s real face is exposing as it is supporting terrorism in Pakistan and creating tension on borders through unprovoked firing along the Sialkot Working Boundary (SWB) and the Line of Control (LoC). He said that the entire Pakistani nation stands united along with the armed forces of Pakistan.
To a question, Khawaja Asif said that despite Pakistan was confronting several inner and outer dangers, it had got unmatched success against terrorism in the ongoing Zarb-e-Azb Operation being carried out by the Pak Army. He said that the government was committed to weeding out terrorism from Pakistan. He added that Zarb-e-Azb will continue till the last terrorist is eliminated.
