NSC wants Income Sources of Militants Dried up Report in The Daily Outlook Afghanistan, June 8, 2016

KABUL – The National Security Council (NSC) on Tuesday issued necessary directives to the authorities concerned regarding security of judicial employees and drying up income sources of insurgents.
A statement from the Presidential Palace said President Ashraf Ghani presided over the NSC meeting at the Presidential Palace before noon.  The security and defence sector ministers presented their reports about the security situation in Helmand, Uruzgan, Laghman, Kunduz, Sar-i-Pul, Baghlan, Faryab, Paktia, Paktika and Kunar provinces and praised the bravely and capability of the security and defence forces. The meeting issued directives about prevention of security threats, the statement said, adding the NSC meeting strongly condemned recent attacks that targeted a number of judges, attorneys and a lawmaker from Kabul in the lower house, Sher Wali Wardak.
The statement said the NSC directed the officials concerned to adopt all necessary measures to ensure security of judicial employees and lawmakers.
Three days ago, three Taliban gunmen stormed the appellant court building and opened fire in central Logar province, killing 10 people, including the chief prosecutor, and injuring 33 others. The attack came days after the Taliban attacked the courthouse in Ghazni province, killing four civilians and one policeman. Nearly a dozen other people were injured in that attack.
Similarly, Wardak, who represented the people of Kabul in the lower house, was killed two days ago in a bomb blast near his home in Kabul. Thousands of people on Tuesday mourned his death in Kabul.
The NSC also congratulated the nation on the inauguration of the Afghan-India Friendship dam in western Herat province, saying the project would put Afghanistan on the path to development and attaining self-sufficiency.
The meeting evaluated an assessment report on sources of income for Taliban, Daesh and all terrorist groups and issued necessary directives to the security and defence organs to dry up their income sources.http://www.outlookafghanistan.net/national_detail.php?post_id=15455
