No alternative to talks : edit in Daily Times, March 08, 2016

There has been a steep rise in Afghan National Army (ANA) forces casualties during the recent days as the Ministry of Defense (MoD) reported at least 26 deaths in the past 3 days.
In the latest Operational Update, the Ministry of Defense (MoD), said Monday that 13 soldiers of the Afghan National Army (ANA) lost their lives during counter-terrorism operations in the past 24 hours.
In another Operational Update on Sunday, the Ministry of Defense said at least 6 soldiers of the Afghan army were martyred while conducting clearance operations against the anti-government armed militants.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense reported that 7 soldiers of the Afghan National Army (ANA) forces lost their lives during the counter-terrorism operations.
There has been a sharp rise in the casualties of the Afghan national security forces since they took full control of the security responsibilities from the coalition forces at the start of last year.
The Afghan armed forces have stepped up counter-terrorism operations during the recent months amid rampant Taliban-led insurgency across the country.
