Nearly 300 ISIS militants killed in Nangarhar operations, MoD claims By KHAAMA PRESS – Wed Jul 27 2016

At least 300 loyalists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group have been since a major operation was launched against the supporters of the terror group in East of Afghanistan.

Officials in the Ministry of Defense (MoD) have said the militants were killed during the operations, Shaheen 18, in Nangarhar province.

Deputy MoD spokesman Mohammad Radmanish confirmed around 300 ISIS loyalists were killed and around 100 others were injured during the raids.

He said the operations will continue until all areas along the Durand Line in eastern parts of country have been cleared from the presence of the terror group.

This comes as the Afghan commando forces launched a major operation in Nangarhar province on Friday a day after the Minister of Defense Abdullah Habibi visited the province to kick off the operations.

The Afghan commandos shared numerous pictures as they continued clearance operations in Kot district, including photographs which purportedly showed the compounds of the terror group in the province.

A compound used as a court by the loyalists of the terror group was among the compounds cleared by the Afghan commandos during the operations.

ISIS loyalists were using the compound to try those convicted of working for the government and were brutally executing them afterwards.

The group has also executed numerous individuals accused of working for the Taliban group in Nangarhar.http://www.khaama.com/nearly-300-isis-militants-killed-in-nangarhar-operations-mod-claims-01586
