KATHMANDU, Nov 23The Nepali Congress continues to lead in more parliamentary first-past-the-post constituencies than any other party three days after counting of votes for the general elections began.
According to the data compiled until 8:00pm today, the NC was leading in 40 parliamentary constituencies and had won 19;
the CPN-UML was close behind with lead in 38 constituencies and six wins;
the CPN-Maoist Centre was leading in 14 constituencies and had won three;
the Rastriya Swatantra Party had won three seats and was leading in five;
the CPN (Unified Socialist) was leading in seven seats and had won two;
the Rastriya Prajatantra Party was leading in four seats and had won one; the Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal had won one seat and was leading in four;
the Nagarik Unmukti Party was leading in one seat;
the Democratic Socialist Party-Nepal was leading in three seats, and others were leading in seven constituencies.
