Mod reports, 20 Taliban were killed and 4 others were wounded in Zherai and Panjwai districts of Kandahar province.
The incident occurred, when Taliban militants attacked ANDSF outposts but were targeted by the Afghan Air Force.
A large amount of their ammunition and weapons were destroyed during the Afghan security offensives.
On the other hand, the Afghan National Army repelled Taliban attacks in Zherai and Dand districts of Kandahar province on Wednesday night.
According to the statement, 12 Taliban were killed and 7 others were wounded during the reciprocal operations conducted by Afghan security members, besides the ANA saved tens of civilians in the Paghman district of Kabul by defusing an IED placed on a Public road.
In another report, the Ministry of Interior reports, 2,650 Tablet-K pills were seized during a search operation conducted by CNPA in Ghazni province’s city.A suspect was detained in relation to the smuggling, further investigations are ongoing, and eight other drug peddlers were detained in Herat, Daikundi, and Helmand provinces.
Ministry also said, that following point to point search operations 14 IEDs were discovered and defused in Kabul, Ghazni, and Faryab provinces.
This comes as MoD reconstructed parts of the Herat – Helmand highway in the Delaram district of Nimroz Province.
The roads were destroyed as a result of the Taliban’s planted or placed IEDs on the highway.
