A local prosecutor Habibullah was shot dead by unidentified gunmen Sunday morning in Kabul city, local police confirmed, suspects at large.
The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. in the Kart-e-Naw area of PD8, central province. Investigations are underway to determine the motive behind the murder.
No further details were provided in regards to the murder, and no group has yet claimed the responsibility for the attack.
This comes a week after “Pamir”, a government prosecutor, was killed in Deh Arab area of PD5 in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.
Recent insecurities have raised concerns among locals throughout Afghanistan, urging government to tighten security measure nationwide.
