After the request of the Islamic Emirate to the leader of Pakistan’s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, to visit Kabul, now the leader of this party, emphasizing the establishment of trust between Kabul and Islamabad, said that this work should be part of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
He also added that he will travel to Afghanistan after the election campaign to discuss common interests.
The leader of Pakistan’s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, said: “Creating a relationship based on trust between the two countries and keeping it stable should be a part of our foreign policy. Accordingly, the Islamic Emirate has invited me and they want to discuss common interests, which will be a priority after freeing from the business of the elections. We will go to Afghanistan and meet with the authorities of the Islamic Emirate.”
“This trip of Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman is a political trip that is done in accordance with the advice of the ruling party in Pakistan and more efforts are made to resume the failed negotiations between TTP and the government of Pakistan,” said Ahmad Munib Rasa, a political expert.
The Islamic Emirate said Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman’s visit to Kabul will be effective in improving relations between the two countries.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate said: “He does not represent their entire country, but he represents the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, and also the people of Pakistan that come to Afghanistan. There will be talks and it will be beneficial to improve the relations between the two countries, especially between the two nations and both peoples.”
Discussions about the trip of the leader of Pakistan’s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam are being raised while the Chief of the Army Staff of Pakistan talked about the financing of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) weapons from a neighboring country, without naming any.
Chief of Staff Army of Pakistan in a statement said: “The sanctuaries and liberty of action available to the terrorists of proscribed TTP and other groups of that ilk in a neighboring country and availability of latest weapons to the terrorists were noted as serious points of concern impacting security of Pakistan.”
Earlier, the Islamic Emirate said the main purpose of inviting the leader of Pakistan’s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam to the country is to resolve tensions between Kabul and Islamabad.
