KHYBER: Labourers and daily-wage workers continued their protest at Torkham border here on Thursday.
They demanded exemption from coronavirus testing and opening of the border crossing throughout the week. The protesters complained that the border crossing was opened four days a week adversely affecting their work, which was also badly hit by the rapid antigen testing for coronavirus.
Meanwhile, the police in Jamrud area stopped Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement chief Manzoor Pashteen from participating in the Torkham protest and sent him to Peshawar from Bhagiyarri checkpost along with his supporters.
