KUNIO HOSHI MURDER: Police find arrested ‘Neo-JMB’ man’s link

report in the Daily Star, Oct 29, 2018
Dinajpur: “Neo-JMB” operative Mohaddes Ali alias Dorji Bijoy, who was arrested on October 19 in Bogra, was involved in the killing of Japanese national Kunio Hoshi.

He was also involved in the killings of Khadem Rahmat Ali of Kaunia upazila in Rangpur, and Dr Deepti of Gaibandha district.

Khandakar Golam Faruk, deputy inspector general (DIG) of police of Rangpur Range, told a press conference at his office in Rangpur yesterday.

Police are to file a complementary charge sheet against Dorji Bijoy in connection with the killing of Kunio Hoshi.

Police had gathered information but could not include his name in the charge sheet as his details were unavailable, said the DIG.

They would appeal to the court for taking Dorji Bijoy on remand in Deepti murder case first, said the DIG.

A Rangpur court on February 28 this year sentenced five JMB men to death for killing Kunio Hoshi. They were Masud Rana, 30, Ihsak Ali, 34, Liton Mia, 32, Shakhwat Hossain, 30, and Ahsanullah Ansar, 25.

Two accused of the case were killed in “gunfight”, said police. http://www.thedailystar.net/city/police-find-arrested-neo-jmb-mans-link-1483201
