JUI-S leader says party still supporting Afghan Taliban

KARAK: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) Maulana Yousaf Shah has said that they still support the Afghan Taliban and are proud of their role.

He was speaking at the Tahaffuz-i-Islam convention here on Thursday. He said that the JUI-S leaders had always raised their voice against the western powers.

He said that the political parties like PML-N, PPP and PTI had no programme to provide protection to the religion and people.

Mr Shah said that only Islam could guarantee security to the society. He said that the other political parties could deceive the masses through slogans of secularism, socialism and communism, but these isms had no programme for the welfare of people.

The JUI-S leader said that very soon the religious forces would be united again for the security of Islam and against the western powers. He said that attacks on religious seminaries would not be tolerated. He asked the people to support the religious parties to implement the Islamic system in the country.
