Islamabad reconsidering ties with Kabul: Asif report in Dawn, October 3rd, 2016

SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Defence, Water and Power Khawaja Asif claims ground realities have raised the curtain for the world from India’s false claims about a surgical strike in Pakistan.

He said this while talking to the media here on Sunday. The minister said the surgical strike “drama” was planned, staged and played by Indian intelligence agencies in a bid to divert the world’s attention from the Kashmir issue. He said the day of freedom of Kashmir will dawn soon and the oppressed Kashmiri people will get freedom from Indian yoke.

He also said Pakistan had strongly rejected the Indian claims of a surgical strike.

He further alleged that Afghanistan was supporting India against the interests of Pakistan due to which Pakistan was reconsidering its relations with Kabul.

He added that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project had become a universal truth.

FIRDOUS: PPP stalwart and former federal minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has asked all political elements to adopt “mature politics of issues” and not “personal” politics targeting personalities.

She stated this while talking to the media at the press club on Sunday. She added that the PPP would soon table a bill in parliament about Panama leaks and the government should not create hurdles in its way.

Firdous condemned India’s mounting war aggression and expressed solidarity with the people and armed forces of Pakistan. She asked all politicians to unite against Indian war aggression, besides shunning political differences in the larger national interest.
