ISIS has reportedly executed 3 Afghan commanders in Iraq: KHAAMA PRESS, Jan 24 2016

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group in Iraq has reportedly executed three of it’s commanders hailing from Afghanistan.

According to the local media reports, the three men were executed after they escaped from the city of Mosul, 405 km north of Baghdad.

The execution comes almost a month after the terror group burned a number of its fighters alive for abandoning the city of Mosul.

“Today, ISIS executed three of its Afghan leaders in Mosul who tried to escape across the Syrian borders,” a local media quoting an official source reported.

The source speaking on the condition of anonymity further added “The execution was carried out by firing squad in front of a crowd of citizens in the center of the city of Mosul.”

Another report also emerged from the city of Mosul earlier this month suggesting at least nineteen Afghans fighting for the terror group were killed in a premature explosion.

This comes as there are concerns that a large number of the Afghans have been recruited to fight for the terror group as well as the government of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.

Meanwhile, the loyalists of the terror group have started gaining foothold in Afghanistan as the number of sympathizers and followers of the terror are growing across the country with at least 70 militants, apparently foreigners are busy in forming the core of the group’s branch in Afghanistan.

According to a report released by UN last year, the terror group is recruiting followers in at least 25 provinces of Afghanistan with 10 percent of the sympathizers belonging to the Taliban group.http://www.khaama.com/isis-has-reportedly-executed-3-afghan-commanders-in-iraq-0043
