ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court Wednesday directed the interior secretary to submit a comprehensive report over the kidnapping of IT expert Sajid Mahmood in one week.
Justice Athar Minallah heard the case filed by Mahira Sajid wife of Sajid Mahmood over kidnapping of her husband from Sector F-10 Islamabad on March 14. The petitioner alleged that eight Elite Force personnel kidnapped her husband from nearby his home in the evening.
During the course of proceedings, advocate Haider Imtiaz Malik counsel for the petitioner apprised the court that ISI and the interior ministry in their written replies expressed their ignorance in the kidnapping of Sajid Mahmood.
The court remarked that if the interior ministry was unaware of the situation then who would be responsible for security and protection of citizens.
