KARACHI: Police’s Counter-Terrorism Department on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in the killing of a Rangers soldier.
Acting on a tip-off, the CTD conducted an action in 100 Quarters of Korangi and detained the suspect identified as Mohiuddin alias Master.
“The held suspect was linked with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London,” claimed CTD SSP Arif Aziz.
The suspect along with his two accomplices namely Osama and Shafiq alias Kala had attacked the Rangers in Korangi No 6 in 2018 in which one personnel of the paramilitary force was martyred while two others were injured. He was also arrested in the past and sent to prison.
Apart from terrorism, the suspect also ‘confessed’ his involvement in murders, attempted murders, acts of arson and extortion, added the officer.
