Ghani asks Pakistan to find ex-Afghan governor By Tahir Khan in The Express Tribune, February 19th, 2016.

ISLAMABAD: Almost a week after former Afghan governor Sayed Fazlullah Wahidi went missing in Islamabad, President Ashraf Ghani has urged the authorities in Pakistan to recover him.

“Wahidi was a national leader, a member of the civil society and a government official and we will try our best to recover him and reunite him with his family,” a statement quoted President Ghani as saying on Thursday after a meeting with Wahidi’s family members in Kabul.

The former Afghan governor’s brother and son met Ghani at the Presidential Palace in Kabul and sought his help. Ghani assured them that his government was in contact with counterparts in Pakistan to trace Wahidi.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, Nemat Wahidi — Governor Wahidi’s son — expressed concerns over the “mysterious kidnapping”. He urged that authorities “speed up” work to recover his father.http://tribune.com.pk/story/1050121/ghani-asks-pakistan-to-find-ex-governor/
