GB governor’s appointment pre-poll rigging: Imran

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has criticised the decision made by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led government according to which a federal minister was appointed the governor of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and termed it another bid to allow premature rigging.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Imran Khan said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was a player of fixed matches and added that the premier could only win matches by selecting his own umpire. The PTI leader stated that the general elections 2013 were a fraud of a national level. He vowed to unveil this fraud and play till the last ball was bowled.

Central Information Secretary of PTI, Shireen Mazari, has said that the appointment of Federal Minister Birjees Tahir as the governor of Gilgit-Baltistan was evidently pre-poll rigging. Meanwhile, Imran Khan has called for sending abroad assaulted PIMS physician Dr Shahid Nawaz. He denounced the incident and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured physician.

Khan demanded of the government provide Dr Shahid the best of medical facilities. Khan also said that if the wounded physician’s treatment was not possible in Pakistan, he should be shifted abroad without wasting further time.http://www.thenews.com.pk/Todays-News-13-35920-GB-governors-appointment-pre-poll-rigging-Imran
