ISLAMABAD: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the PML-Quaid on Thursday alleged the PPP-led government of rigging the Gilgit-Baltistan elections.
Speaking on points of order in the National Assembly, MQM MNA Haider Abbas Rizvi, PML-N legislator Ahsan Iqbal and PML-Q leader Amir Muqam alleged the government of pre-polled rigging by announcing development packages before the polls. They said there were reports of polling of bogus votes and seizure of polling stations by “PPP hooligans” in several constituencies.
PML-Q leader Kashmala Tariq accused PPP MNA Fouzia Wahab of “bulldozing” the Competition Commission Bill in the Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue.
Fouzia said members, representing their parties, had participated in the meeting on Wednesday. http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=2009\11\13\story_13-11-2009_pg1_2
