According to local media on Thursday, an explosion was reported in Taloqan, the centre of Takhar province in Afghanistan.
A bomb attached to a vehicle in the Sar Chowk area of Taloqan city reportedly caused the explosion.
In the blast, at least four people were killed, and several others were injured, according to the report. The injured people have been transported to the local hospital.
Currently, no groups or individuals have taken responsibility for the incident.
The incident comes a day after the high Pakistani delegation visited Kabul to discuss security and cooperation with the interim government.
A statement after the meeting indicated that “matters relating to the growing by TTP and ISKP came under discussion. The two sides agreed to collaborate to effectively address the threat of terrorism posed by various outlets and organizations.”
On the other hand, recently, the Kashmiri leader related to the IS-K known as Abu Osman, was killed in the Kunar province of Afghanistan in an operation by the Taliban government.
Since the Taliban came to power in August 2021, the security issue in the country has been a significant challenge for the Taliban government amid a severe humanitarian crisis.
