Security sources in Kapisa province say Noor Khuda, the police chief of Siah Gard district of Parwan province, was killed on Monday night by unidentified gunmen in the center of Kapisa.
According to security sources in Kapisa province, the police chief and one of his bodyguards was killed and another was injured in the incident.
The police chief was attacked in the Qala-e-Sher Khan area as he was traveling from the Sayad district of Kapisa province to Mahmud Raqi, the provincial capital.
Security officials stressed the gunmen have fled the area and efforts are underway to find and arrest them.
