Daesh Militants Infiltrate Afghanistan From Pakistan, says Atmar by Ghafoor Saboory, TOLOnews.com, 29 June 2016

Daesh militants are coming from Pakistan to Afghanistan, Afghan National Security Adviser Mohammad Hanif Atmar said on Tuesday.

Speaking during a visit to Nangarhar province on Wednesday Atmar said Daesh was cooperating with terrorists in Central Asia to destabilize countries in the region.

He said fighting terrorism is the responsibility of all regional countries. He added that he will soon will visit Russia to seek military assistance.

“Most of the Daesh militants come from Pakistan and they have Pakistani ID cards. And they receive aid from central Asia and Gulf states, but Afghan forces are ready to fight them,” Atmar said.

“Terrorists are a big threat to the central Asia and we have asked India and Iran many times to help and cooperate with Afghanistan in fighting those terrorists,” Atmar added.

He said that Afghan government will never allow neighboring counties to interfere in Afghanistan.

Nangarhar provincial governor Salim Khan Kunduzi said that Afghan forces had been successful in the battle against Daesh militants.

“Afghan forces in battle with Daesh militants in Kott district have had good results and in some cases have destroyed them,” said Kunduzi.

The comments come at a time when Daesh militants are active in Kot, Achin, Haska Mena and Nazyan districts of Nangarhar and Chapa Dara, Nari of Kunar province and Waygal and Du Ab district of Nuristan province.http://www.tolonews.com/en/afghanistan/26028-daesh-militants-infiltrate-afghanistan-from-pakistan-says-atmar
