Meherpur : Ruling Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader on Monday said BNP is trying to capitalise on anti-India issue.
“BNP is an issue-based party…now they are capitalising on anti-Indian issue. Earlier they had created a lot of issues, but people did not pay heed to those issues,” he said.
He added that BNP is now hatching conspiracies for creating new issues but it would again fail in its attempt to create issues.
The road transport and bridges minister said this while addressing a rally arranged by the AL marking the historical Mujibnagar Day at the Sheikh Hasina Manch in Mujibnagar.
Obaidul Quader urged party leaders and activists for taking preparations for the next general election.

BNP does not want Teesta deal under Hasina: Quader

The BNP is trying to ensure no deal on Teesta waters can be reached under the Hasina administration, said Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
The AL leader made the statement to journalists soon after he paid his respects to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi Road 32 on Monday.
