Police have arrested a woman who they say is the chief of the women’s wing of Neo-JMB, the group blamed for the deadly Gulshan cafe attack.
They say ‘Homaira’ alias ‘Nabila’ is known as the ‘Bat Woman’ in Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh or JMB’s revived chapter.

The Counterterrorism and Transnational Crimes or CTTC unit of the police arrested her in the capital’s Siddeshwari on Wednesday night, Deputy Commissioner Mohibul Islam Khan of the unit told bdnews24.com.
He said they produced her in a court that granted two days to grill her in custody on Thursday.

The charges against Homayra included terrorism financing, according to him.

Police arrested her husband Tanvir Yasin Karim in November last year while investing the Aug 15 blast at Hotel Olio in Dhaka’s Panthapath that killed a suspect during raid.

Tanvir is the owner of Darus Salam Publications and Karim International, which imports books of foreign writers.

He has an outlet in the capital’s Monipuriparha.

Mohibul said Tanvir admitted to his wife’s involvement in terrorism during interrogation.

They had not arrested Homaira back then with her husband as she had been pregnant.https://bdnews24.com/bangladesh/2018/04/06/police-claim-to-arrest-neo-jmb-womens-chief
