At least three security personnel were martyred and 12 were injured in a suicide attack in the Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).
According to police officials, terrorists attacked security forces billeted at the Daraban School in DI Khan. A vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) was rammed in to the building at around 3am, causing it to collapse.
Following the car bombing, terrorists entered the school premises. At the same time, the Daraban police station situated nearby was also attacked, with police and security forces retaliating against the attackers.
All bazaars and markets are closed in Daraban today, while all government and private educational institutions are also closed until further notice.
