Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi, During a meeting in Kabul with Pakistan’s Special Envoy, said on Wednesday that Afghanistan soil would not be used against neighbouring countries and Afghans will never harm anyone.
According to the Afghanistan Foreign Office, both sides emphasized the necessity to strengthen the political and economic ties between the two countries, pushing for the beginning of collaborative business initiatives.
Asif Ali Durrani, Pakistan’s special envoy, reportedly complimented Afghanistan on achieving security and stability following years of conflict and said that his country seeks to strengthen and expand bilateral ties.
According to Durrani, Afghanistan and Pakistan have achieved admirable progress in the area of trade.
He also said that all sides are interested in the region’s security, and Pakistan and Afghanistan work together to achieve this goal.
Meanwhile, the diplomat offered assurances that the Afghan interim administration’s request to solve issues involving Afghan inmates detained in Pakistan and other issues about the two countries trade in goods will be addressed in the interests of both countries.
