PESHAWAR: The Counter-Terrorism Department has made further progress in investigation into the Dera Ismail Khan terror attack, it has been learnt.
The CTD report said the main attacker Sifatullah had crossed the Torkham border into Afghanistan on March 3 and there was no record as to when he returned. His location in different parts of Pakistan a few days before the attack was also collected, it added.
The CTD said another attacker had released a video before the attack. The authorities have also collected the details of the vehicle used in the attack, which has been sent to the laboratory. At least 23 soldiers had embraced martyrdom when a group of six terrorists attacked a security forces’ checkpost in the Daraban area in Dera Ismail Khan earlier this month.
