HYDERABAD: The Counter-Terrorism Department of Hyderabad police claimed to have arrested a suspect, who was involved in blowing up pylons of high transmission power line.
A press release issued by the CTD here on Wednesday said that the suspect identified as Ahmed son of Bashir Ahmed was caught near Yusuf Goth in Jamshoro when he, along with his accomplices, was planning to blast high transmission line. His associates managed to escape during the CTD action.
The suspect belonged to Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA) and was a prime suspect in a case lodged with Qasimabad police station on Sept 2 regarding blast on a railway track.
He was found in possession of a locally made bomb and was booked in FIR (No 20/23) under Section 4/5 Explosive Substance Act and 6/7 of Anti Terrorism Act, 1997, said the handout.
