Islamic Emirate: Over 450,000 Afghans Expelled From Pakistan:

Report in TOLOnews Online, Dec 03, 2023 at 9:47 PM
The Islamic Emirate said that more than 450,000 Afghan migrants have been deported from Pakistan since November 1.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, told TOLOnews that the deportation of Afghan immigrants is still ongoing and they are trying to address the challenges of the immigrants.

“In general, we can say that more than 450,000 immigrants have returned to Afghanistan so far, and the majority of them have been settled, some of them are on their way, and now immigrants are coming from several parts of the country and are being taken to their places of choice every day,” the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate told TOLOnews.

At the same time, the foreign minister of the former government of Pakistan said that deporting Afghan immigrants is a complicated issue and the interim government of Pakistan should have consulted with the parties before doing this.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari added that the interim government of Pakistan does not have the authority to deport illegal immigrants.

“It would have been better if the interim government had consulted with the people, the civil society, the victims and the host community and made a decision accordingly and acted based on this decision. Maybe it would have been done in a better way,” said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

On the other hand, a number of immigrants who have just returned to the country criticize the misbehavior of the Pakistani police with the immigrants.
Nabi Khan is one of the deported immigrants who has just returned from Pakistan with 27 members of his family.

He said that he was imprisoned in a Pakistani prison for almost 3 months without committing any crime.

“We were in prison for two months, we were coming from Chitral, they caught us in the Dir area and from there they sent us to the Center Jail in Peshawar,” Nabi Khan told TOLOnews.

“They treated the immigrants in such a way that wherever they saw them, they took ten to twenty thousand of them and tore up the cards they had given to the immigrants,” said Matiullah, another expelled refugee.

Meanwhile, Balochistan’s caretaker minister for information, Jan Achakzai, has once again said that no Afghan will be allowed to enter Pakistan without a visa.

Achakzai also claimed that the caretaker government is playing a double game instead of handing over “elements involved in terrorist attacks in Pakistan,” and Pakistan has repeatedly asked the Afghan government to hand over the terrorists on a list Islamabad has given to Kabul.

“In the terrorist incident in Bannu, the terrorist holding an Afghan ID card proved that the holders of Afghan ID cards and Tazkira have also become a security threat. For this reason, Afghans with ID cards should also leave here. No Afghan is allowed to enter Pakistan without a passport,” said Jan Achakzai.

Sirajuddin Haqqani, acting Minister of Interior, met with Roza Otunbayeva, the special representative of the United Nations Secretary General, and discussed the situation of expelled migrants.

Abdul Matin Qani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, said that Sirajuddin Haqqani said in this meeting that world peace is a necessity for the Islamic Emirate and that the internal problems of other countries should not cause problems for the Afghan immigrants living there.
