ISLAMABAD: A sinister plot to disrupt the deportation of illegal Afghan nationals from Pakistan has come to light, endangering the efforts of the caretaker government to ensure a lawful and peaceful repatriation process.
The caretaker government of Pakistan, in line with the rule of law, deployed law enforcement personnel to various holding camps across the country after the deadline for illegal Afghan residents to voluntarily leave the country expired on Wednesday, November 1.
To date, the authorities have initiated a well-coordinated nationwide operation to ensure the orderly deportation of illegal Afghan nationals. Thanks to the efficient arrangements put in place by the caretaker government, over 126,000 Afghans have returned to Afghanistan without any untoward incidents.
However, sources have revealed that certain anti-national forces have mobilised with the malicious intent to disrupt this humanitarian effort.
Their plan involves inciting Afghans within established camps or during their movement, with a specific focus on capturing images and videos showing security personnel allegedly manhandling Afghans, including women and children.
These media materials are intended for use as propaganda against Pakistan on the international stage.
According to the information from sources, a meeting was recently held with the Logaris in Spin Boldak, Afghanistan, during which a sinister plan was concocted to spread chaos through violent protests in the Chaman and Spin Boldak areas.
According to this nefarious strategy, Afghans attempting to cross from the Pakistani side into Afghanistan will be targeted with gunfire to incite chaos and create discord.
The primary objective of this heinous and despicable plan is to escalate tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan by creating chaos and sabotaging the peaceful repatriation of Afghans. The involvement of anti-national elements threatens the security and well-being of those Afghans returning to their homeland.
The caretaker government of Pakistan, along with law enforcement agencies, is dedicated to upholding the rule of law and ensuring the orderly deportation of illegal Afghan nationals. Officials have reassured the public and international community that they are taking this threat seriously and are committed to maintaining the safety and security of all individuals involved in the repatriation process.
