Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday told parliament that conspirators are active at home and abroad to halt the progress of the country.
However, different government agencies are working to prevent anti-Bangladesh propaganda, she said.
The premier said this in reply to a query of Awami League MP Nazrul Islam Babu from Narayanganj-2.
With Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, the question-answer session of the premier, who is now in Brussels, was tabled.
She said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in constant communication with the relevant ministries to stop misinformation against the country through various social media platforms.
Referring to her recent meetings with US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and US State Department Under Secretary Uzra Zeya, Hasina said important bilateral issues were discussed in these meetings, which is expected to play a significant role in the relationship between the two countries.
She said this in response to a question from Gonoforum MP Mukabbir Khan from Sylhet-2.
In reply to a query of ruling Awami League MP M Abdul Latif from Chattogram-11, Hasina said the Bangabandhu Tunnel will have a positive impact on the country’s economy.
