BAJAUR: The police on Monday claimed to have foiled a sabotage attempt by recovering 22 rockets in Bajaur tribal district.
The cache was recovered from hilly Kas Krewand area of Mamond tehsil, according to a statement issued from the office of the district police officer.
It said that after receiving information about the presence of rockets in the area, a team of bomb disposal squad led by its in-charge Ihsanullah was immediately dispatched to the locality.
The statement said that the team traced the site where the rockets were kept and then recovered them.
It said that the rockets were placed there by unknown miscreants for the sabotage purpose.
The statement further said that efforts were underway to trace the miscreants.
