HYDERABAD: Unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants gunned down son of a former superintendent of police in Qasimabad phase-I late on Thursday night.
Arsalan alias Naveed Jamali, son of Ahmed Khan Jamali, was sitting outside a friend’s house along with two other friends when four assailants on two motorcycles shot at him six to seven times after confirming his identity, leaving him dead.
He was taken to Liaquat University Hospital’s city branch where doctors pronounced him dead. No FIR has been lodged so far.
Sources said that Naveed’s family had shifted to Karachi from Nasim Nagar and he was visiting his in-laws in his old neighbourhood and meeting friends when he was targeted.
