Rab said its members have arrested nine members of the newly surfaced militant group Jama’atul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya from Bandarban yesterday.
The outfit’s training commander Didar Hossain alias Chompai was among the arrestees, Khandaker Al Moin, Rab’s legal and media wing director, said today.
They were arrested along with arms and ammunition during a drive at the district’s Tonkaborti area, he said, adding that Rab would hold a press briefing in this regard at its Bandarban camp later today.
